A studio of engineers who refuse to ship demos.
Sortwind is a senior-led engineering studio. We exist to build the systems most consultancies promise and most product teams don’t have time for: AI-native products, real cloud platforms, and the unglamorous foundations enterprises run on.
Engineer the systems
that change companies.
We work on the systems that move the metric. The agentic workflow that replaces a 40-person ops team. The cloud migration that quietly saves $8M a year. The headless storefront that holds during a 12x peak. We pick problems where the right engineering is the difference between a company being durable and being disrupted.
How we work, in four lines.
We disagree in the open. We make the strongest case for the other side before defending our own.
Every system has a name on it. We carry pagers, write the postmortems, and earn the lessons.
We make decisions that pay back over years, not sprints. Boring infrastructure. Durable choices.
A demo is not a system. We ship things that survive contact with reality.
From four engineers
to a global studio.
- 2019
Founded by four engineers who wanted to build the things consultancies refused to ship.
- 2021
First $1M ARR. First enterprise logo. First production AI deployment.
- 2023
Opened the Agent Lab. Internal evals harness becomes our most-used product.
- 2024
50 engineers across New Delhi and Bengaluru, SOC 2 Type II.
- 2026
Today: 120+ AI products shipped, sub-5% team churn, 99.98% production uptime.
Senior, deliberately small,
and globally distributed.
We hire engineers who have shipped at scale before. We interview for thinking, not credentials, and we say no a lot. Our pods stay together for years — most of our engineers are on their third or fourth client engagement.
We operate from two offices in India — New Delhi and Bengaluru. We work asynchronously by default, and our hours are explicitly chosen to overlap with our clients’ working day, wherever they are.
Engineer the system
your roadmap actually needs.
We respond to every inbound within one business day. First conversations are 30 minutes, technical, and free of sales theater.
